Counselling and compliance in financial market and capital market law

Dr. Marcel Aellen, owner of Advokatur Aellen, has extensive experience and specialist knowledge in financial market law. He advises banks and financial intermediaries on questions of regulation and compliance in financial market law and accompanies supervised entities in their dealings with the supervisory authorities. Dr. Marcel Aellen publishes regularly and acts as a speaker in these areas. 

After studying law at the University of Bern, Dr. Marcel Aellen worked for almost 25 years for the Swiss Federal Banking Commission, from 2009 FINMA, in the legal department and later as Head of Securities Supervision. He was then a Senior Manager at KPMG and from 2015 to the end of 2020 Partner at the Law Firm Bratschi AG. Since January 2021, he offers his services as a consultant and lawyer in the law firm Advokatur Aellen. Dr. Marcel Aellen has been admitted to the Swiss courts since 1985.
